Keith Wilkins Cancels 2012 KAM-BABS Awards To Focus On Florida Music Hall of Fame & Tampa Bay Music Hall Of Fame Ceremonies & Concerts...

Due too Keith’s involvement with both the Florida Musicians Hall of Fame & the Tampa Bay Musicians Hall of Fame, Keith is announcing that there will be no KAM-BABS Awards Show this year. This is in order to allow Keith to work with the other Board of Directors of the Hall of Fame’s, and to focus on the daunting task of organizing the first ever induction ceremony & concert for both Hall of Fame’s.

“Though both Dina Mead & myself had a lot of fun with the KAM-BABS Sexiest Musicians of Tampa Bay Awards Show that took place last year, I strongly feel that it is much more important to focus on both the Florida & Tampa Bay Musicians Hall of Fame’s! I have been given this awesome responsibility of getting the Hall of Fame’s up & off the ground, and organizing the very first induction ceremony... it deserves my focus, 100%! This is just too important for me to be distracted by other projects such as the KAM-BABS Awards, not to mention that the Hall of Fame’s are much more important to the Tampa Bay & Florida music scenes then the KAM-BABS awards are. Both Florida & the Tampa Bay area deserve to have a musicians Hall of Fame, it’s been a long time coming and I am so determined to be one of the people to give it to them.... I want this for Florida! I want this for the Tampa Bay!” - Keith Wilkins

Keith did say that there is a possibility that KAM-BABS will bring back their awards show again, somewhere down the line in another year.

Keith Wilkins Resigns From Mayhem Magazine...
TAMPA - As of December 28th, 2011, Keith Wilkins has resigned from Mayhem Magazine and will no longer be writing for the magazine or working with the publisher (Vertex Worldwide Media) in any capacity in the foreseeable future. The following is an official statement from Keith regarding his resignation...
"I would like to publicly announce my official resignation from Mayhem Magazine. I enjoyed playing a part in getting the fledgling music magazine up-and-running and off the ground. Even though I did not approve of the adult oriented content that was slowly bleeding into the magazine, I honored my word & commitment to provide 3 issues worth of pre-determined article content free of charge for the magazine, in order to help the magazine gain popularity. However, now that the deadline is up to negotiate my contract & future compensation, Mayhem Magazine has apparently decided that my services are no longer needed by creating next months issue without me, even though no one from the magazine felt it necessary to inform me that my services are no longer needed. Further more, Mayhem Magazine does not approve of my other colleagues & partners in my other business ventures and I can not work for a publication who’s main concern is my outside projects. I wish Mayhem Magazine much success and much luck with whoever they find to replace me."
